I have coined 2019 as the year of Living in the Crucible. It was a year of pressing, squeezing and surrendering past what we thought was needed or even possible. The definition of a crucible is “a vessel in which substances are heated to high temperatures”, the “hollow area at the bottom of a furnace in which the metal collects” and a “severe trial or test”. I know many of you can relate to this because it wasn’t just for us personally it was to forge us together as the body of Christ.
“Stop dwelling on the past.
Don’t even remember these former things.
I am doing something brand new, something unheard of.
Even now it sprouts and grows and matures.
Don’t you perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness
and open up flowing streams in the desert.
Wild beasts, jackals, and owls will glorify me.
For I supply streams of water in the desert
and rivers in the wilderness
to satisfy the thirst of my people, my chosen ones,
so that you, whom I have shaped and formed for myself,
will proclaim my praise. Isaiah 43:18-21 TPT
He was shaping and forming us for himself. Another translation says He was customizing us! The crucible was for a time and season to form and shape us for what? To be a people that will proclaim His praises. Not a person but a people, a body proclaiming His praises. Rejoice and proclaim His praises not for what He has done for us but for who He is in us! Arise sons of God for the whole earth is groaning for us to take our place. Dr. Mark expressed it so well in his New Year’s Eve service the pressure, the constriction, the restriction we were feeling in 2019 was because the baby had dropped into the birth canal.
Praise God 2019 is over and we have crossed over into the new era/decade of 2020, the year of the mouth 5780 according to the Hebraic calendar. In the above God says to STOP dwelling in the past, don’t even remember these former things. He is doing something brand new, something unheard of! So, when we proclaim, we haven’t been this way before we haven’t. When we wonder why the old ways aren’t working it’s because it is time for the new. God has been forming and shaping us into the new wineskin so He can pour out the new wine. A new individual wineskin, which allows for the new corporate wineskin of the body of Christ for our assignments together in KCIA and on the earth.
It is truly a time of celebration, a year of jubilee as Dr. Kauffman expresses in his prophetic word for 2020. Don’t be dismayed, don’t lose hope, don’t give in or give up because the best is just ahead of us. The breakthrough, the release, the manifestation of those promises from God and those prophetic words we have been stewarding for so long.
Praise God for the birthings! We stand with you, contend with you, rest with you and enter into your sufferings with you to see the full manifestation of your identity and destiny in the kingdom of God on the earth! And we rejoice with you for your breakthroughs garnering faith for our own and for the body of Christ.
